Ingredion has announced a new distribution partnership with Soyuzsnab JSC, one of Russia’s largest suppliers and manufacturers of food ingredients. Soyuzsnab JSC will supply Ingredion’s full range of specialist starches, continuing to provide customers across Russia with high-performance starches to help meet the increasing demand for clean label food products.
Maren Lortz, European Distribution Manager for Ingredion, commented;
“Russia is an important and growing market in the clean label space as consumers are increasingly looking at and analysing food labels. As a result, more and more food producers in the country are looking for ingredient solutions to reformulate or develop new products that meet consumer demand for a ‘natural’ or ‘healthy’ positioning."
“We are pleased to be able to use Soyuzsnab JSC’s extensive network of regional branches and warehouses to bring our broad range of clean label and modified starches and functional flours in all areas of Russia. Soyuzsnab JSC has over 20 years’ experience in the food industry, and their customers will also benefit from the company’s extensive application and technical knowledge."
The new agreement will commence on 1st October 2015 (before this date Azelis Rus LLC has been distributing Ingredion’s products in Russia), enabling food manufacturers and retailers to source a range of ingredients that can act as stabilisers and thickeners, or improve texture and mouthfeel amongst many other functions.
“We look forward to bringing Ingredion’s extensive portfolio to our customers and working on new and existing formulation projects to meet the latest market trends. Through our network of eight dedicated R&D centres, we will be able to bring innovative solutions without compromising on food quality, taste and texture.”
