Ingredion is extending its business relationship with Univar, a global chemical distributor and provider of value-added services, to include the exclusive distribution of many of Ingredion’s specialty starches across France, Poland and Greece.
Maren Lortz, European Distribution Manager at Ingredion commented:
“Univar has been a valued distributor for the last 20 years and has extensive knowledge of our product ranges and clean label ingredient portfolio. The company’s business strategy, scale and geographic reach align very well with our own goals and support our European growth strategy."
“Europe continues to be an important and growing market for food innovation. Consumers want to understand the provenance of food, as well as offering natural and free-from claims with a transparent and clear label. Food producers are therefore turning to suppliers for more than just ingredients. By extending our business relationship with Univar, customers will continue to have access to first-class ingredient solutions, and in addition, Univar’s extensive technical expertise in the food sector.”
Gary Abraham, Food Ingredients Commercial Manager, Univar EMEA, added:
“The Ingredion product range enables us to provide customers with a choice of speciality starches. We look forward to continuing our successful business relationship and providing a consistent, high service to customers in these new territories.”
Ingredion’s existing distribution arrangements with Univar cover the UK, Ireland, Iberia, Turkey and Nordic regions.
Existing customers of Ingredion products in France, Greece or Poland are advised to contact Univar with any questions relating to future supplies of Ingredion products.
